A comprehensive knowledge of fair housing "rules- regs" is to the REALTOR® what personal liability insurance is to attorneys, doctors, and other professionals-- an effective risk management tool. 


WHAT WILL BE COVERED
This course is designed to provide information, guidance, and business proficiency in the following areas:

  • Knowledge of federal and state fair housing laws relating to the rental, sale financing and insuring of real estate.
  • Knowledge of state/federal: “protected” classes; exemptions under fair housing laws and other related anti-discrimination laws/policies relating to real property transactions
  • Knowledge sufficient to best avoid practices that could be considered discriminatory in commercial and residential transactions and facilities
  • Knowledge concerning internal policies and risk management tools; a review of most often cited “Best Practices Policies and Procedures
